The Astonishing Curtains
a girl named Lucy had a very pretty doll house. Her grandpa made it for her birthday and her grandma gave her five dollars to buy its furniture and her aunt gave her another dollar to buy curtains. As the toy shop was closing down, everything was at half price so she could buy two times the amount of furniture. The next day, as she was taking out he dollar to buy her curtains, she dropped it into a rat's hole. She was very sad. So her toys decided to make curtains for her. The clockwork mouse went to get Autumn leaves and the doll sew it together. it was beautiful. The next day, Mary was so astonished that she named the curtains, The Astonishing Curtains.
